Chinese F1 Race at Shanghai

The Chinese Grand Prix entered the Formula One calendar in 2004. Lap record of the Shanghai circuit still belongs to Michael Schumacher from that year. The circuit was designed by Hermann Tilke and it is famous for a very long back straight followed by a hairpin turn. Top speed reaches over 300 km/h.

Shanghai offers spectaluar racing and can attract a huge crowd of over 200,000. Previous winners include Rubens Barrichello (2004), Fernando Alonso, Michael Schumacher and Kimi Räikkönen.

Race date is October 19th, 2008.
